Greetings in the marvelous name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As the incoming Moderator of the Northern Virginia Baptist Association, Inc., (NVBA), I am gratefully humbled to have this opportunity to serve as the 23rd Moderator of this great Association.

God has given me this theme for us: “We are laborers together with God—strengthening our churches, reaching the marginalized through discipleship, and serving as catalysts to transform our communities.” The scriptural focus is 1 Corinthians 3:9-10:

“9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.”
